Dear Friends,

This Saturday, we’ll gather at church at 8 AM to head to Trail View State Park! Once there, we’ll hike the Climb Blue MB Trail Loop. As I mentioned last week, it’s rated β€œEasy,” so it truly is an all-church event. Please let me know if you’re coming and if you can drive too!

On Sunday, August 11th, our beloved Susan McHenry will be celebrating her last Sunday at St. John’s before moving back to Louisville, KY. We want to celebrate her and give thanks for all that she’s given to the church over the years with an after-church party in the church garden. If you would bring something to eat or drink to honor Susan that’d be greatly appreciated! (Instead of a photo of Susan, check out these C-Span videos featuring some of Ms. McHenry good work in the world.)

Finally, while there’s still so much summer left to enjoy, I’m excited to share our first fall announcement: β€œKick-Off Sunday” will be on September 8th! This marks the return of our regular programming, including Sunday School, the Retiree Group, the Wednesday 12:10 PM service, and more. Plus, we have an all-new Christian Education program that I'll reveal more about as we approach September. Stay tuned for more details!
