Sunday mornings
Read a lesson, welcome people at the door, serve at the altar, or help run the sound. We’ll show you how, and you can try it once to see how it feels.
Serve
On Sunday mornings, in the garden, in the kitchen, and with our neighbors in Park Slope, there’s a place for you to help. No experience needed, and no year-long commitment.

With our neighbors
Since 1971, CHiPS (Community Help in Park Slope) has fed our neighbors right here in Park Slope, with a food pantry and the Frances Residence, a home for new and expecting mothers and their babies. We go together for a shift, and new faces are always welcome.

Ways to serve

Read a lesson, welcome people at the door, serve at the altar, or help run the sound. We’ll show you how, and you can try it once to see how it feels.

Help Chelsy DeHart with the kids downstairs: a lesson, a craft, a snack, and plenty of questions.

The quiet work that makes Sunday beautiful: setting the altar, caring for the linens, candles and silver, and getting ready for the big days of the year.

Our garden is a gift to everyone who walks by. Help plant, weed, rake and keep it beautiful, and get to know the neighbors who stop to say hello.

Every Thanksgiving, the kitchen fills up with volunteers chopping, cooking and laughing to prepare a holiday meal. Bring an apron and an appetite for work.

Setting up for a party, a cleanup day, a cookout: something comes up most months. The newsletter has the latest.
